Core Values
1. Academic Excellence : The principal
task of the school is to teach academics from a Christian worldview
so that the students are encouraged to develop a love for God, a
love for learning, and the ability to function in the modern world
in which we live. Education is to be formal and meet the highest
possible standards of excellence, using all God-given resources
available.
2. Biblical World-View: Everything
connected with the school will be done so as to give honor and glory
to the One Triune God who offers redemption to all through His Son
Jesus Christ. All full-time teachers will be professing Christians
who are confident of their faith, who freely and sensitively integrate
it into the discussion of any subject matter, and who model a Christ-changed
life through their relations with each other and all students. It
is recognized that each student has a right to make his or her own
religious choices; therefore no student will be coerced into embracing
a Christian worldview.
3. English-Language, American-Style Curriculum:
In order for students to make a successful transition into
academics in the United States, the American style of education
will be adhered to using primarily U.S.A. qualified teachers or
the equivalent following a basic American-style curriculum in English.
A limited Advanced Placement program will be the ultimate goal of
the academic program
4. Host Country Relations: The
school will seek to conform to locally mandated guidelines for the
school's operation. These include instruction in the Spanish language
and Panamanian culture and history. The school will seek to develop
students with an appreciation of the host country and equip them
with sufficient skills to enable them to function in the host country.
5. Christian Ethics: Every child
entering the school will be expected to abide by rules and regulations
representing basic Christian morals.
6. Church Related: The School
Board will work to fulfill the stated purpose of the school within
the policies of the Crossroads Bible Church, its sponsoring body.
